The Community Recreation Branch is seeking passionate individuals for the Assistant Instructor role in its winter programs. This part-time, temporary position is ideal for motivated candidates aged 14 and older. You will assist certified instructors, ensuring safe and effective ski and snowboard instruction while implementing program outlines during engaging community activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in conducting ski/snowboarding instructional programs
• Provide safe instruction to program participants
• Interact with participants, staff, and community members
• Respond to participant progress inquiries at lesson end
• Implement and follow the pre-established program outline
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 14 years required
• Must possess current Basic First Aid certification
• Certification in Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) required
• Attend meetings, clinics, and training sessions
• Compliance with all safety and policy guidelines
