Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Travel/Showcase Baseball Coach to lead and inspire young athletes through competitive travel/showcase teams and showcase tournaments. This dynamic role involves developing players’ skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting sportsmanship while managing team logistics and ensuring a positive, engaging experience for all participants. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for baseball with coaching/playing experience , excellent coaching & communication abilities, and experience working with amateur baseball players in various physical activity settings. Knowledge of the college baseball recruiting process and how to promote players through various avenues is preferred. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of athletes and help them reach their full potential on and off the field. Coaches will be coaching travel/showcase teams for players between the ages of 13-18 years old throughout Northern Virginia & surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Must be available to coach during the Fall and Spring/Summer Seasons. Available for evening events as well as some weekend events
- Plan, organize, and conduct baseball practices focusing on skill development, game strategy, and physical conditioning
- Lead teams during travel tournaments and showcase events, ensuring proper preparation and sportsmanship
- Develop individualized training plans to improve batting, pitching, fielding, and overall athletic performance
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork, discipline, and respectful behavior among players
- Manage any necessary team logistics & communications with parents. Games, tournaments & practices will be scheduled for you
- Implement safety protocols during practices and games to ensure player well-being at all times
- Utilize coaching techniques & detailed development plans to enhance player engagement and skill acquisition
Experience
- Prior experience coaching baseball at high school, college or the professional levels is highly preferred. This position is for a Professional Baseball Coach who has been around the game at a high level as a player and/or coach
- Prior experience playing baseball throughout high school, college or at the professional level is highly preferred
- A passion for player development and wanting to help every single player achieve their goals on the baseball field
- Prior experience with the college baseball recruiting process and the ability to help parents navigate that process
- Demonstrated ability to work with children or students in a team setting with proper communication skills
- Background in sports coaching combined with knowledge of behavior management strategies
- Teaching, coaching other sports, lifeguard experience, and/or familiarity with health club/gym environments is a plus for promoting overall athlete health and safety
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with players, parents, and team staff
- Passion for mentoring youth through sports while fostering a fun yet disciplined environment with a player development focus.
Position Benefits
-Coaches will be provided all necessary equipment and gear as well as given team issued swag
-Coaches travel expenses will be covered when traveling out of town for any games or tournaments throughout the year. (Gas Mileage, Hotel Costs, Equipment, etc.)
-Coaches will be given per diem when traveling for out of town events
-Coaches will be able to have expenses covered to attend coaching conventions and other coaching development/educational training events
-Opportunities for extra coaching hours throughout the year

Pay: $30.00 – $75.00 per hour
