Primary Responsibilities:
– Maintain an American Red Cross Water Safety Instruction Certification & First Aid/CPR/AED Certification through an authorized provider
– Teach swimming lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
– Create and implement lesson plans that focus on water safety, stroke development, and overall swimming technique
– Provide a safe and positive learning environment for students
– Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance for improvement
– Ensure the pool area is clean and organized before and after each lesson
– Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concern
Secondary Responsibilities:
– Being able to respond to manager, clients, co- workers via – email
– Being able to travel via public transportation or driving to clients pool – Arriving to scheduled lessons at least 10 minutes early
Experience:
– Previous experience working with students, such as in childcare, physical education, or coaching sports teams
– Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming strokes and techniques
– Ability to effectively communicate and interact with students of all ages
– Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching others how to swim
– Customer service skills. Bi-lingual is a plus.
