In this casual contract position, you will deliver engaging lessons while adhering to safety standards set by the City. Responsibilities include managing class participants, preparing effective programs, and ensuring accurate attendance and incident reporting. Work hours are flexible, primarily on weekdays and weekends throughout the summer season.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct engaging paddle boarding lessons safely for all skill levels
• Manage participant interactions and safety concerns on-site
• Prepare and organize recreation programs as needed
• Complete required reporting on incidents and attendance
• Lead paddle boarding classes in compliance with safety policies
Requirements:
• Experience of at least 1 year in outdoor recreation instruction
• Paddle Canada Instructor Course certification required
• Wilderness First Aid or equivalent certification preferred
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license preferred
• Strong customer service skills essential
