About our client
Our client is building the athlete-led experience economy. They help world-class and emerging athletes turn the trust they’ve earned into transformational, premium adventures for their communities without them becoming travel agents, salespeople, or operators.
Our client designs the experiences, runs the sales engine, handles logistics and payments, and protects quality. Athletes show up and lead. Guests get life-changing experiences. Everyone wins.
Our client is an early, ambitious team, and is building something that doesn’t fit neatly into a category.
About the role
Our client is hiring their second Sports Travel Sales Representative to own the conversion of interest into bookings.
This is not transactional SaaS sales. You’re speaking to people who already want the experience – runners, cyclists, skiers, climbers – and helping them decide if it’s right for them.
Your job is to:
- understand the guest deeply,
- guide thoughtful, high-trust conversations,
- and turn genuine interest into confident “yeses”.
- take deposit on the call.
You’ll work closely with the founder, Head of Revenue, and Operations team. As the business grows, you’ll help shape how sales is done in the business — tone, systems, and culture.
This role is not for the average sales person. The ideal candidate has a love and passion for sports.
What You’ll Do
- Own guest sales conversations by conducting sales calls (video) over WhatsAp and email – answering questions, understanding motivations, and helping people commit.
- Convert high-intent leads into bookings: These aren’t cold leads. Your job is clarity, reassurance, and momentum.
- Represent the brand in every interaction: Calm, grounded, warm, human. No pressure tactics. No scripts that feel like scripts.
- Work closely with ops: You’ll understand each experience inside out — who it’s for, who it’s not, and why it matters.
- Improve how we sell, continuously: Feedback on objections, pricing, messaging, and funnel gaps. We expect you to help us get sharper every month.
- Lay foundations for scale: Help define what “great sales” looks like at the company as volume grows.
Who This Is For
Our client is deliberately opinionated about this role.
This is likely you if:
- You are athletic or deeply embedded in endurance / adventure culture. You don’t need to be elite but you get why someone would pay for this. (NB: This is non-negotiable. If you’re a sports lover who deeply understands the mindset of an athlete or are an athlete of any kind yourself then this is the role for you!)
- You naturally understand the ideal customer. Curious, thoughtful, seeking challenge, growth, and meaning — not a generic tourist.
- You’re easygoing, socially fluent, and emotionally intelligent. You know when to push, when to pause, and when to say “this might not be for you”.
- You enjoy real conversations, not hard selling. You’re comfortable discussing fear, money, readiness, and commitment without awkwardness.
- You want to be part of a small, young, ambitious team. You’re excited by early-stage chaos, learning fast, and building something that lasts.
- You care about doing sales well, not loudly. High integrity matters to you.
What You Don’t Need
- You don’t need a decade of enterprise sales.
- You don’t need to love spreadsheets more than people.
- You don’t need to be a “closer” stereotype.
Our client cares far more about judgment, empathy, and trust than polish.
What Success Looks Like (First 3 months)
- Trips filling consistently, without pressure tactics
- Guests feeling seen, informed, and excited before they book
- Athletes trusting the sales process completely
- Clear, repeatable sales rhythms that scale with the business
Why Join our client
- You’ll help build a new category, not just hit targets
- You’ll work on behalf of inspiring athletes and with awesome guests
- You’ll shape how sales should feel in a values-led company

If you’re looking for a high-integrity, human sales role — this is it.
