SPIRE Teacher – Computer Science, Robotics & Product Design Jobs in Geneva at SPIRE Academy
SPIRE ACADEMY
Teaching Faculty — Computer Science, Robotics & Product Design
Where Sports Culture Meets the Classroom
Imagine a campus where the energy of game day and the rigor of great teaching live side by side — where your classroom
conversations flow naturally into locker room mindset talks, and your students are chasing championships and college
acceptance letters in the same breath. Thats SPIRE Academy.
We are one of the fastest-growing sports academies in the country, and we are looking for a Computer Science, Robotics &
Product Design teacher who wants to turn student-athletes into builders — coders, engineers, and innovators who design
solutions to real problems. If you love being around sports, thrive on hands-on and relevant learning, and want to influence
the next generation of innovative thinkers, keep reading.
Who You’ll Teach
Our students come from across the country and around the world — a genuinely international, diverse community of student- athletes with big goals in sport, school, and life. You’ll get to bring global perspective into your lessons and learn as much from your students as they learn from you.
What You’ll Actually Do
This isn’t “stand and lecture” role. You’ll be a daily, visible presence in students lives — teaching, mentoring, and helping
athletes become well-rounded people ready for whats next. Specifically,
- Teach five sections of relevant, hands-on curriculum spanning computer science, robotics, and product design — turning
coding, engineering, and design thinking into tools students use to solve real problems
- Mentor as an Academic Advisor for a group of students, serving as their go-to point of contact and family liaison
- Collaborate across departments — Sports Mindset, Student Life, Corporate Partnerships, Coaching Staff, and Event
Management — to build interdisciplinary, real-world learning experiences
- Partner directly with coaches to connect classroom learning to whats happening on the field, court, or ice
- Track and share student growth using real data, keeping parents, faculty, and coaches in the loop
- Lead a special interest or club activity each semester — think a robotics team, coding club, or a student-run product
design lab — bring a passion project to life
- Support Study Table rotations and the seminar curriculum
- Show up at athletic events and residential life activities as a positive, engaged role model
- Get certified to drive students to school-related activities (we’ll help you get there)
- Contribute to the Mindset Development Project and use hybrid teaching methods to keep students learning even while
they travel for competition
Why This Role Is Different
- Build, don’t just learn. Guide students through the full arc of coding, robotics, and product design — from first
prototype to working solution — so they experience what it means to build something real.
- Growth, fast. SPIRE is expanding, and that means real opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and career
exploration across education, athletics, and organizational leadership.
- A team, not a silo. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with coaches, mindset coaches, and student life staff — true
interdisciplinary collaboration, not just faculty meetings.
- Community that shows up. Whether it’s a big game or a study table session, you’ll be part of a culture that shows up for
its students everywhere they are.
What We’re Looking For
A mission-driven educator who:
- Credentialed teacher preferred but able to hire the right person with subject matter expertise
- Builds genuine, trust-based relationships with students
- Delivers high-quality, engaging instruction
- Holds students accountable to academic and character standards
- Wants to guide student-athletes toward success in sport, school, leadership, and life
- Is proactive, visible, and energized by being part of a students daily journey
- Is ready to adhere to the policies in our Faculty/Staff Handbook and support the schools mission and leadership — and
to pitch in wherever the Head of School needs support
If you’re ready to help student-athletes design, code, and build their way into the future — and to
help build one of the fastest-growing sports academies in the country — we want to hear from you.
