Social Media & Content Manager Jobs in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia at Preacta

Title: Social Media & Content Manager

Company: Preacta

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

This is a rare in-house social role that genuinely sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll be shaping the social narrative for one of Australia's most recognised insurance brands, working across some seriously exciting sports partnerships including the Fifa World Cup and the upcoming Olympics.

You will own the consumer portfolio, including brand social, while also managing thought leadership for a c-suite leader. You'll work with a top tier agency to help brief content and campaigns for the sports partnerships as well as be on the tools, keeping up with trends and creating content for content pillars at a brand level.

What the role involves:

  • Own and manage the social media content calendar, aligning activity to business priorities, campaigns and cultural moments
  • Developing and executing social content across all major platforms including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube (shooting and editing low-fi content yourself but also briefing with and working with an agency)
  • Own campaign delivery against agreed timelines and budgets, with monthly performance reporting and data-driven recommendations
  • Support crisis communications and issue escalation in line with brand and regulatory frameworks
  • Executive thought leadership for a senior c-suite leader
  • Using AI tools daily for content creation, scripting and insights

What they're looking for:

  • 5-10 years in a pure social media role, in-house or at AD level from agency
  • Confident creating content on the tools, not just directing others
  • Strong stakeholder management and comfortable presenting to senior leaders
  • Experience creating content for TikTok (and other social channels)
  • Background in a larger, listed or corporate environment
  • Canva, CapCut, analytics and community management tools proficiency

The sell:

  • $150 – $170k salary for a role with a clear Senior Manager pathway (and real portfolio ownership)
  • Named one of Australia's Best Workplaces 2025
  • AI embedded across the team with real investment in innovation
  • 50% in office per month
