Overview of Role: Director of Sales
This role will be critical to the overall success of the Straightaway, and Accompani brands. Your learned expertise of our brands, and command of our home and core markets, will be a major asset in pursuit of reaching our goals and aspirations.
With the scope of Western US sales and Market Development, you will be directly responsible for our key core Markets, as well as the secondary states within your assigned region. Additional geographies may be incorporated based on future need. Additionally, this role will serve as a prominent stakeholder for launching and managing our most significant distributor relationships.

• Meet established company revenue targets and brand development goals through driving POD growth, retail execution and meeting customer expectations.
• Manage and develop direct reports and sales team members to possess all the skills needed for a best-in-class sales organization
• Trade Program development in partnership with marketing and innovation teams
• Distributor Management that leads to Straightaway owning the top shelf of our category

Channels // Segments: We are an omni channel brand, and this role will help develop partnerships and PODs across a spectrum of channels.
• This role will manage both new and existing Off and On premise customers.
• Key account relation ownership with top customers.
• Call on these customers monthly to develop programming and ensure proper account and relationship management.
• As needed, identify and execute growth opportunities within Strategic Sales: such as Airlines, Hotels, Sports & Entertainment, Performing Arts
Customers // Key Accounts:
• Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume clients to drive growth and company objectives. Serve as a point person with top buyers within our top customer list both on and off premise.
• You will be responsible for building out a H1 + H2 sales and tactical plan for the top accounts within your geography. To be built in conjunction with the VP of Sales and CEO
• Own the promotional calendar, creating winning programs, that are repeatable, and profitable for both the customer, and Straightaway,
• Partner within the sales, marketing, and finance functions within the Straightaway team in building promotional planning and activations.
• Support brand, and peers, as necessary when a need arises to work with accounts outside of your typical account list
Distributors // Trade:
• Manage current Distributor partnerships and ensure performance and best in class execution.
• Launch key partnerships in conjunction with CEO, and VP of Sales and Marketing.
• OLCC – build strong relationships with OLCC locations, build programming to new levels across our spirits, and cocktails.
• Train reps, merchandisers and team members that are relevant to our partnerships.
• Develop strategic, tactical and GTM plans leading up to initial product or partnership launches
• Serve as a key stakeholder for all annual, quarterly planning with distributor partners
• Manage brand ambassador relationships along with VP of Sales.
• Represent Straightaway at trade shows and key events.
• Establish direct regional monthly account calls with key buyers (PCC, Market of Choice, QFC, Fred Meyer, Nugget, Raley’s, New Seasons, etc.)
Planning // Strategy:
• Contribute to company annual // quarterly planning In partnership with Marketing, Production, Direct to Consumer and Finance teams
• Partner with leadership team to build out strategic and tactical planning for gaining traction with our customers and distributors alike
• Hitting key KPI’s: develop and track progress on a Monthly, Quarterly and annual basis
• Attend monthly leadership meetings and present on behalf of the sales group
Data:
• Serve as the go to person for all relevant data, insights, reporting and performance tracking within established territory and customer base.
• Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports // overviews of relevant metrics.
• Work alongside respective Distribution partners, OLCC etc to ensure both our partners and internal team at Straightaway have the proper visibility into the business.
• Generate relevant Spins // Trade data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Deliver critical insights and ongoing analysis of the business in a way that enables proactive decision making and action planning amongst our team.
Qualifications // Requirements:
• 5+ years of senior level sales experience within alcohol beverage Industry experience required
• Distributor management required
• Experience managing direct reports
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals and growing distribution for premium brands in the Alc Bev industry
• Demonstrate sharp commercial insight by staying ahead of market shifts, competitor moves, and the broader alcohol beverage landscape.
• Driver’s license with a driving record that is acceptable
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Must have OLCC & Food Handlers Permits.
• Residence in the greater Portland area is preferred, with a working knowledge of West Coast markets
The expected base pay range for this role is 95-140K. Actual pay will be determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Potential to attain company annual Bonus up to 20% for personal and company assigned goals when achieved.
