Position Summary:
As the Med Tech/Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for activities in the rehab and therapy room including but not limited to: ensuring patients are correctly following the therapy prescribed, hands-on support, maintaining a safe and clean workspace, and providing an exceptional patient experience.

We are currently expanding our office to be the premier physical medicine office offering comprehensive conservative care in the Tampa Bay Area.
Performance Objectives:
· Follows patient care-related tasks as delegated by and supervised by the Chiropractor/Nurse Practitioner to assist the patient in achieving optimal goals.
· Conduct vitals (BP, pulse, temperature, grip strength, height, weight/Inbody composition). Training provided
· Setup patients for Spinal Decompression treatment/sessions according to the protocols provided and set by doctor (training and certification will provided).
· Administer therapeutic ultrasound, e-stim, and class IV laser. Training provided for each service.
· Transition patients between therapy and treatment rooms.
· Communicate and educate treatments that are being provided if asked by patient. Training provided.
· Be able to lift and/or help patients on and off tables/therapy beds.
· Basic cleaning of the office, tables, equipment, and general organizing
· Assisting front desk with check-in/check-out, answering and delegating phone calls – when needed. We will also cross train to learn how to run and interpret insurance benefits and understand treatment codes
· Ensure seamless and efficient patient flow in rehabilitation/Therapy department
· Chart patient’s progress per clinic protocol
· Encourage and inspire patients to follow through with treatment plan
· Consistently offer the highest level of personalized customer service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic and helpful attitude.
Job Skills, Education, & Qualification Requirements:
· Requires effective communication skills both verbally and in writing for working with members of the care team, patients, families, and caregivers.
· Able to lift and carry equipment, supplies and materials up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
· Must have a friendly, outgoing, and attentive personality to effectively connect with patients and staff.
· Must be technologically proficient – having a good knowledge and understanding of modern technology, especially computers and computerized medical equipment.
· Visual acuity to perceive patient reactions to treatment and to read instructions.
· Requires critical thinking skills
· Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
· Maintains open and an on-going communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Education & Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 6-12 months relevant experience strongly recommended in a chiropractic/rehab therapy/physical medicine/orthopedic/medical setting.
· Willing to participate in on-the-job training after initial orientation.
· Willing to participate in out of office training and/or attend continuing education conferences.
· Willing to participate in online training modules and/or zoom training.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is constantly required to sit, talk, see, hear, and use hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, step up, balance, kneel and crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or assist the patients on and off the exam table. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing daily. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. Occasional travel to local meetings and trainings may be required.
