- Advising customers on type of equipment for specific purposes, such as type of fishing pole, fishing bait, size of a kayak, type of a knife.
- Explains care of equipment, regulations of games, and fish and game laws.
- Informs customer of areas for hunting, fishing, or hiking, and cost of such outings.
- May repair sporting goods like fishing reels, fishing poles, and spool line.
- Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers.
- Achieving established goals.
- Directing customers to merchandise within the store.
- Superior product knowledge.
- Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor.
- Fishing experience is a big plus.
