Duties
- Lead group and individual pickleball lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate proper techniques, rules, and safety protocols to ensure a fun and safe playing environment
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate skill-building drills, game strategies, and sportsmanship principles
- Monitor participant behavior, provide constructive feedback, and manage group dynamics effectively
- Organize friendly matches, tournaments, or clinics to promote active engagement and community spirit
- Maintain equipment, ensure courts are safe and well-maintained, and prepare the playing area before sessions
- Collaborate with other sports instructors or staff to coordinate programs that enhance overall fitness offerings
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching, or working with children in recreational settings
- Knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, and gameplay strategies
- Background in related sports such as tennis, is a plus
- Experience with behavior management and creating inclusive environments for diverse participants
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages
