The Performance Partnerships team are looking for a Performance Team Leader (PTL) to join the organisation. The PTL role is responsible for managing HPSNZ's relationships with NSOs and providing them with strategic support, investment, and advice to achieve agreed performance outcomes.

Role

At a high level, apart from your track record of creating success in the high performance arena, to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate other key competencies:

  • Recent experience from within a NSO high performance sport environment.
  • Strong capabilities across strategic thinking and innovative problem solving in complex environments.
  • A solid record of building, influencing, and managing constructive relationships across all stakeholders within a high performance environment.
  • Proven contributions towards creating a positive high-performance culture, with wellbeing a main consideration in your approach.
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance all facets of sporting performance.
  • Experience in both able-bodied and para-sport high performance contexts would be advantageous.

In addition, we are looking for someone who conducts themselves professionally and can develop relationships based on trust; who has exceptional communication skills with an engaging style; who can influence and impact change whilst leading themselves with decisiveness, confidence, and emotional stability.

High Performance Sport New Zealand leads the high performance system in New Zealand. HPSNZ works in partnership with national sport organisations, allocates resources to sports organisations and athletes, and delivers world-leading support to impact positively on both performance and wellbeing.
