Role Overview:

Payment Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating the end-to-end payment experience across all brands and platforms, with a primary focus on PSP relationships, roadmap implementation follow-up, and payment incident handling. The role ensures that payment journeys are seamless, compliant, and conversion-driven while coordinating initiatives across PSPs, technical teams, UX/UI, operations, and other internal stakeholders. This position plays a key role in delivering a stable, user-friendly cashier, following up on blockers and implementation status, and recommending improvements across the payment ecosystem. The role reports to the Group Head of Payments and is an individual contributor role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

PSP Relationship & Delivery Follow-Up

  • Act as a primary point of contact for PSPs for operational, functionality, and technical performance queries.
  • Follow up on roadmap implementation status, blockers, dependencies, and timelines with internal stakeholders and PSPs.
  • Maintain clear communication on priorities, issues, and delivery progress across Payments, Product, Compliance, and Technology.
  • Track PSP updates, releases, and enhancements to identify opportunities or risks that may impact payment performance or user flow.
  • Support coordination of payment-related initiatives and ensure alignment between internal teams and external providers.

Payment Incident Handling

  • Monitor, investigate, and help resolve payment incidents, working closely with Support, DevOps, PSPs, and relevant internal teams.
  • Escalate critical incidents promptly and ensure appropriate ownership, communication, and follow-up until closure.
  • Help identify the root cause of PSP-related or payment-flow disruptions and support implementation of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to operational stability by tracking recurring issues and recommending process improvements.

Cashier UX & Conversion Optimization

  • Conduct ongoing UX reviews of the cashier across all brands and platforms
  • Identify friction points and propose improvements to enhance customer payment flow
  • Collaborate with UX/UI and development teams to implement optimizations where these support payment performance or user experience.
  • Benchmark competitor payment flows and evaluate industry best practices
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve conversion, reduce friction, and support operational efficiency as per the Payments Analyst provided data
  • Support, rather than own, the payment roadmap by following up on implementation progress and highlighting blockers or improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend changes based on data, incident trends, PSP feedback, and operational needs.

Stakeholder & Technical Coordination

  • Support development teams with business requirements and functional specifications
  • Validate technical implementation before launch, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Help identify, diagnose, and resolve PSP-related technical issues
  • Work closely with Support, DevOps, and PSPs to minimize disruptions and improve system stability
  • Oversee configuration rules and payment logic within internal back-office modules as required for operational support and issue resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Person Specifications:

  • Strong expertise in payment systems, PSPs, and online cashier flows
  • Proven experience in PSP/vendor management, payment operations, or payments support within iGaming or a similar environment.
  • Proven experience in UX optimization and customer journey improvement (payments integration, deposits/withdrawals, cashier UX)
  • Ability to build, manage, and maintain product roadmaps
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilities
  • Familiarity with APIs, integration workflows, and technical documentation
  • Experience working in agile environments with development and product teams
  • Proficiency with Jira or other incident/ticket management platforms
  • Previous experience in payments, technical product management, fintech, or finance
  • Excellent communication skills for management, technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent technical projects and priorities effectively
  • Time management & organization

Nice to Have

  • Experience in iGaming payments or PSP coordination.
  • Understanding of payment incidents, escalation management, and operational follow-up.
  • Exposure to product delivery or roadmap tracking, even if not full ownership.
  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while managing cross-functional relationships.
