The City of Markham is seeking a temporary part-time Aquafit Instructor in the Recreation Department. You will plan, organize, and lead Aquafit classes catering to all ages and abilities. This role includes training participants and creating a safe, motivational environment, while ensuring all administrative tasks are completed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead innovative Aquafit classes tailored to diverse fitness levels
• Observe participant progress and adjust programs accordingly
• Participate in mandatory training and staff meetings
• Communicate updates on programs and policies to participants
• Maintain safety and suitability of equipment and environment
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 16 years at employment start
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Current Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid with CPR C
• Valid Aquafit certification from recognized organizations
• Recent Vulnerable Sector Check upon hiring
