About The Role
Evil Eye Pictures is seeking a talented Motion Designer on a contractual basis to join our dynamic team supporting our Virtual Studio environment. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing high-fidelity motion graphics that effectively bridge traditional 2D design with immersive 3D broadcast environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop visual assets that enhance broadcast quality and viewer engagement. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in broadcast, commercials, or live event production, demonstrating a proven ability to create sophisticated motion elements under tight deadlines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of visual storytelling and real-time virtual production.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in motion graphics design, animation, VFX, and compositing.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
- Strong portfolio showcasing mastery in timing, design, and layout.
- Experience working in broadcast, commercials, or live events environments.
- Ability to work independently with well-organized, clean project files.
- Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and spatial awareness within 3D environments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing creative directions in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with workflow optimization tools such as smart templates, MOGRTs, and toolkits.
Good To Have
- Proficiency in Cinema 4D or Houdini.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine and Virtual Art Department workflows.
- Interest or experience in sports broadcasting or live event technology.
- Experience in compositing CG render passes and understanding broadcast standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-end graphic elements and integrated components suited for a 3D XR broadcast studio environment.
- Generate seamless animations by fluidly moving between 3D and 2D applications for transitions, on-air toolkits, and comprehensive broadcast packages.
- Take full ownership of projects from initial concept and style frames through to final delivery and implementation.
- Collaborate closely with the Asset Lead and VFX Supervisor to ensure visual assets align with overall production goals and technical constraints.
- Translate complex creative briefs into compelling visual narratives, ensuring all assets meet platform-specific standards and broadcast quality.
- Maintain organized and efficient workflows, utilizing templates and toolkits to streamline production processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques to enhance visual storytelling.
