Sport and recreation have the power to change people’s lives and build communities of engaged citizens. The Department of Athletics and Recreation’s mission is to champion the development of the whole student through sporting excellence and active wellbeing. Through this, we empower our varsity athletes to achieve their full potential both athletically and academically. With our recreation programs we focus on active wellbeing as a learning strategy, providing opportunities for students to thrive socially, personally and at their studies.

The Opportunity

Join Toronto Metropolitan University in a leadership role dedicated to elevating the student-athlete experience through innovation, collaboration, and high-performance sport programming.

This Manager, Sport Performance provides strategic leadership in the development, design, integration, and delivery of comprehensive sport performance programs and services that support the success and wellbeing of student-athletes. The position provides direct oversight of areas including strength and conditioning, athletic therapy, and nutrition, while leading departmental relationships with our sports medicine partner as well as external specialized services and support.

The position strives to ensure programing reflect modern sport science practices, emerging technologies, and evidence-based approaches.
