Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection in collaboration with the culinary team
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent waste
- Support catering and special event meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude towards guests and team members
- Follow all food handling procedures, including proper knife skills and portion control
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven kitchen experience in restaurants or the food industry, with strong cooking skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and meal preparation abilities
- Familiarity with menu planning, food service operations, and catering processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
