Salary: $125 per session
Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School is seeking an enthusiastic and supportive Intramural Tennis Coach to lead our Tennis intramural program. This role is ideal for individuals looking to contribute to skill development in young athletes and provide a positive, engaging experience for students.
Responsibilities:
· Lead approximately 10 Tennis sessions on the courts from 3:15 – 4:30 PM. Sessions will be from September through November, with one to possibly three sessions per week.
· Teach and develop Tennis skills for a group of around 18 – 24 girls.
· Organization of drills, small-sided games, and full-court activities to ensure students remain active and engaged.
· Plan and implementation of skill training and scrimmage play.
· Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and growth.
· Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during sessions.
Qualifications:
· Experience playing or assisting with coaching tennis, with a focus on skill development.
· Basic understanding of tennis rules and strategies.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills, ability to organize activities and keep participants on track.
· A positive, energetic approach to working with high school-aged students.
· Required Clearances: Candidates must have or be willing to obtain the following clearances:
o PA State Criminal Record Check
o PA Child Abuse Clearance
o FBI Criminal Background Check
· Clearances must be up to date and submitted before the start of the program.
