Niagara Falls Memorial is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join its growing team!
The Exercise Physiologist will provide Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation direct patient care, patient education, patient monitoring and scheduling. Must have excellent Phase I, II, III, and IV knowledge and skills. Treatment to be documented and communicated with patients, M.D’s, and all necessary members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or Exercise Physiology required
Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
Experience:
- Previous experience or recent internship cardiac rehabilitation. Prior public speaking and/or teaching experienced desirable. The incumbent must obtain Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain within six month of hire. The incumbent must possess basic ECG rhythm interpretation skills, and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills. Experience in exercise prescription, exercise supervision, exercise program planning, diagnostic stress testing, and health counseling with cardiovascular and/or pulmonary rehabilitation patients is preferred.
