They now have an exciting opportunity for a strategy driven Technical & Quality Directorto join the leadership team in their thriving sourcing hub in Dhaka, taking responsibility for international operations and global fashion retail customers in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.
For this role you must have experience with a global customer base, have achieved Director, Head of or Vice President level with the ability to drive strong leadership within a large team covering Ladies, Men’s and Childrenswear multi product apparel to cover, jersey and woven, outerwear and tailoring.
You will be leading a team who will be responsible for the complete product cycle from development to delivery!
Main Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Managing Director
- Drive company initiatives related to strategy and operations.
- Lead and develop teams covering technical and production.
- Working cross functionally with key stakeholders to define and deliver the strategy and set business KPI’s.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Quality & Technical functions for jersey, woven & outerwear, tailoring categories. (understanding or experience in patterns is desirable)
- Develop and implement quality strategies to meet global buyer standards.
- Oversee product technical fit, construction, testing, and risk assessment.
- Drive factory capability improvement, process optimization & vendor performance.
- Manage pre-production, inline, and final inspection systems.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, sustainability & ethical standards.
- Lead and mentor regional QA / Technical teams. Handle customer communications on quality, technical, claims & CAPA actions.
Experience required:
- Strong leadership track record in the fashion and garment industry across technical & quality and customer relationships.
- Previous experience working with international customers and extensive experience working in Bangladesh or working with Bangladesh teams and have a understanding of culture.
- Experience in leading and managing a large growing technical team.
- Strong understanding of the apparel manufacturing and production planning process.
