Join Novant Health Performance Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine as a Travel Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Work alongside orthopedic surgeons in a busy outpatient sports medicine clinic, providing patient care, injury assessment, bracing, and clinical support for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist orthopedic surgeons with patient evaluations and treatment plans.
- Perform patient assessments and record vital signs.
- Fit and educate patients on braces, splints, and durable medical equipment (DME).
- Provide injury prevention education and rehabilitation support.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain a safe and organized clinical environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Athletic Trainer experience.
- Active North Carolina Athletic Trainer License (NCBATE).
- Board of Certification (BOC) – ATC required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Previous travel experience preferred (strong first-time travelers may be considered).
Preferred Qualifications
- Orthopedic surgery or sports medicine clinic experience.
- Experience with Bracing & DME Fitting.
- Strong patient communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule Details
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- No weekends
- No on-call
- Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests
