Overview
Director of Sports Performance Jobs in Culver City, CA at Redline Athletics Culver City
Title: Director of Sports Performance
Company: Redline Athletics Culver City
Location: Culver City, CA
Los Angeles has no shortage of talented young athletes.
What it does have is a youth sports system that too often burns kids out early, fails to give them the care and attention they need to build confidence, and quietly pushes girls out of sport during middle and high school.
By age 14, nearly two-thirds of girls quit sports.
Not because they lack talent—but because the environments around them stop building confidence, safety, and belonging.
Redline Athletics Culver City exists to change that.
We’re opening a youth performance training center in West Los Angeles built around a simple belief:
Confidence is a skill—and it can be trained.
We’re Hiring: Director of Sports Performance & Head Coach
This is a hands-on coaching and leadership role.
Your primary responsibility is coaching athletes.
You’ll spend the majority of your time on the training floor, delivering Redline programming and creating sessions where young athletes feel challenged, supported, and excited to return.
You’ll also:
• Set the standard for coaching quality
• Lead the training floor through your own example
• Mentor and support other coaches
• Build trust with athletes and parents
• Help create a positive, consistent, high-standard culture
• Support confidence and long-term development—especially for female athletes
Programming is provided by Redline HQ.
Your responsibility is to bring it to life with energy, consistency, care, and leadership.
You will coach athletes.
You will lead coaches.
You will shape culture in the facility and the community.
Who This Role Is For
This role is for a coach who:
• Believes youth training should be developmental, not extractive
• Knows young athletes should not be trained like smaller adults
• Can hold high standards while keeping training positive and inclusive
• Cares deeply about helping girls stay confident and engaged in sport
• Values collaboration over ego
• Takes pride in consistency, relationships, and coaching quality
• Wants to grow with an organization and help build something meaningful
This is not a desk-based director position.
It is for someone who wants to be the best coach on the floor—and help every coach around them improve.
Why Culver City / West LA?
This community is full of competitive youth athletes and families who care deeply about:
• Long-term development
• Health and confidence
• Quality coaching
• Doing things the right way—not simply the loudest way
West LA needs a performance environment that develops strong, resilient athletes without burning them out.
That’s what we’re building.
Compensation and Growth
$30–$37 per hour
The position may begin as part-time or full-time, with opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation as the program grows.
