Role Overview
We're looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Intern with a strong interest in basketball and storytelling. This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing within a growing sports media brand.
You'll play a supportive role in developing engaging basketball content, with an immediate focus on coverage of the FIBA Youth EuroBasket across the U20, U18, and U16 competitions. Longer term you'll contribute to youth-level competitions including the NextGen EuroLeague and other high-profile youth basketball events. You'll be encouraged to learn, experiment, and bring your own ideas to life — with guidance from experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover matchday activity and proactively identify content ideas from games and events.
- Create graphic content within established design templates and systems.
- Stay up to date with the basketball world, including results, news, and emerging stories relevant to our audience.
- Edit and produce short-form video highlights for social media from long-form footage.
Qualifications
- Passion for basketball and an understanding of the game.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in social media and digital storytelling.
- Basic experience using Canva or other design tools (Adobe Suite a plus).
- Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage your time effectively in a remote working environment.
