Job Overview: As the Game Operations GA, you will assist all aspects of game day operations for Missouri Baptist Athletics. This includes managing logistics, coordinating game day staff, and ensuring the smooth execution of facility set-up and tear down. You will serve as a liaison between Campus special events office and public safety to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures. Your role involves working collaboratively with all areas within the athletic department to properly execute game day programming that enhances the fan and student-athlete experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and execute all aspects of game day, including the set-up and tear down of facilities.
- Develop and implement a game operations strategy that aligns with the department’s overall brand and goals.
- Coordinate with various departments within the organization, such as special events, ticketing, sponsorship, and public safety to ensure a seamless game day experience for fans.
- Manage and supervise a team of game operations Game liaisons, student work study.
- Work closely with the coaching staff and players to ensure a positive and engaging game day environment for both the team and fans.
- Collaborate with external vendors for event production and coordination.
- Research industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the game day experience for fans.
- Ensure that all game day operations adhere to University, Conference, and NAIA regulations and standards.
- Manage budgets and expenses associated with game day operations.
- Lead post-game debriefs and analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in sports management, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in event planning or operations within the sports industry preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle emergencies.
- Experience working with audio and visual equipment, designing game experiences, and coordinating fan engagement activities.
