Position: Aquatic Programs Instructor Role
Enhance the aquatic skills of local youth as an Aquatic Instructor for the Municipality of Port Hope. In this role, you will lead swimming lessons, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants.

The position requires a current Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification, First Aid, and CPR training. As an instructor, you will develop lesson plans based on established standards like HIGH FIVE®. Additionally, maintaining accurate attendance and addressing public questions is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct aquatic lessons while ensuring safety standards

• Maintain student attendance records with precision

• Plan lessons based on aquatic principles and standards

• Ensuring health regulations are strictly followed

• Supervise all participants to prevent water-related incidents

Requirements:

• Certification in Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor

• Standard First Aid and CPR “C” with AED

• Knowledge of Ontario Health Regulations

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check required

• Ability to demonstrate skills in water
