Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Physical Education.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Provide individualized support through tutoring, mentoring, and differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, extracurricular activities like sports coaching, and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff to promote academic success and address any behavioral or developmental concerns.
- Incorporate literacy education strategies, creative writing exercises, and subject-specific skills such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Child Development principles into daily lessons.
- Support library services by integrating research skills and fostering a love for reading among students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to education administration, special education practices, Montessori methods, or other specialized teaching approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Prior classroom experience working with middle school students in diverse educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of core subjects including Math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus), Science, Language Arts (including AP style and Chicago Manual of Style), and social sciences.
- Proven skills in classroom management, behavior management strategies, and childhood development principles.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and assessment tools.
- Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking and parent engagement.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital tools for instruction and assessment.
- Ability to mentor students academically and socially while fostering a positive classroom environment.
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
