Duties
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of educational, recreational, and enrichment activities tailored to diverse age groups and developmental needs
- Maintain a safe and structured environment through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety through vigilant child supervision and adherence to first aid protocols
- Implement youth development programs that foster social skills, teamwork, creativity, and confidence
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Collaborate with team members to develop program schedules and adapt activities to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education accommodations
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid procedures such as CPR or AED operation when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings, childcare centers, camps, or youth programs is highly preferred
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to engage children positively and handle behavioral challenges effectively
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or leading outdoor work experiences is advantageous
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire is required
- Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or tutoring can enhance your ability to create diverse engaging activities
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic environment
