As a Youth Volleyball Coach with the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA), you will bring your expertise to create dynamic, high-quality training environments for our kids. This role is ideal for individuals with previous coaching experience, whether in volleyball or other sports, and a track record of working with young athletes. This coaching position will lead teams and contribute to program development.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching:
Plan and conduct engaging and well-structured training sessions (provided by the club), focusing on intermediate to advanced skill development, game strategy, and teamwork.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior volleyball coaches, helping them develop their coaching skills.
Identify and nurture the unique strengths of each kid, offering personalized feedback and support to help them excel.
Serve as the lead coach on game days, focusing on competitive play and sportsmanship.
Work closely with the coaching team to align on program goals and strategies. Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress and team development.
Build strong relationships with players and their families, regularly updating them on progress and team activities.
