Job Description
We are looking for passionate and reliable coaches to teach tennis and other sports in New York City. Our classes are located in Manhattan. Experience is necessary for our younger kids’ programs; and a positive attitude, working with children as young as 3-8 years old, and the ability to create a fun environment for all classes is required. Coaches should be responsible, dedicated, and confident individuals with a strong work ethic.
This is a part –time position and would be perfect for the candidate looking to fill 10-15 hours per week. As you grow with the company, additional hours will become available to you. Compensation is competitive, and based on experience. Compensation begins at $35 per hour and can increase up to $40 per hour depending on your experience, commitment and progress.
Super Stars Tennis has introduced thousands of children to the sport of tennis and a variety of sports in the New York metropolitan area. Our format makes learning sports easier and more fun than ever! Our programs follow the Quickstart method and introduce tennis sized right for kids so they can develop skills and have fun right from the start. Using equipment and sizable racquets tailored to a child’s height and age, kids will learn how to rally and play quickly in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding.
As a Tennis & Sports Instructor at Super Stars Tennis, you will:
Focus on tennis/sports but can show fitness and movement skills as well
Be comfortable instructing young children on how to perform skills
- Show enthusiasm while engaging the children
- Be confident managing multiple children at a time
- Be professional when communicating with supervisors and arrive on time
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with children under 8 years old
- Have previous sports and/or fitness experience
- Must have a fun and playful demeanor
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Well-spoken, friendly and compassionate
