About the Role
As a Youth Sports Coach, you will lead fun, high-energy soccer and multi-sport classes for children ages 1-12. All training, curriculum, and equipment are provided, so prior coaching experience is not required.
You will:
- Lead 30-60 minute sports classes for children ages 1-12.
- Use positive reinforcement and a non-competitive approach to keep classes fun and supportive.
- Adapt your style for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged kids.
- Ensure safety, engagement, and a great experience at every session.
- Travel to scheduled class locations throughout Montgomery County.
The most important qualification is a genuine love of working with children and being physically active. This role is a strong fit for people who are energetic, reliable, coachable, and comfortable leading groups of kids.

There is an immediate opportunity for advancement for the right candidate. The program is also hiring for an Assistant Lead Coach position, and coaches who demonstrate leadership, reliability, and strong class management may quickly grow into additional responsibility, more hours, and higher pay.
We are open to applicants with varying weekday and Saturday availability. Preference will be given to candidates who can work both weekdays and some Saturday mornings, as needed.
Current scheduling needs include:
- Weekday mornings.
- Weekday afternoons.
- Full-day availability on some weekdays.
- Saturday mornings through early afternoon.
Pay ranges from $18 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, role, and number of classes taught.
Requirements
- Must love working with children and enjoy being physically active.
- Must have your own personal reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to work at locations throughout Montgomery County.
- Must be comfortable coaching children ages 1-12.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
