If you’ve reached the pinnacle of competitive sport—Olympian, World Champion, NCAA Division I First Team All-American—you understand the discipline required to excel. The question is whether you can convert those hard-earned insights into concrete coaching methods that elevate students into top performers.
At Texas Sports Academy, your new field is building champions—not from the bench, but through direct, daily coaching that drives students beyond their perceived limits. You won’t simply recount your achievements. You’ll convert elite athletic rigor into practical motivational techniques, instill resilience via interactive workshops, and lead intense training sessions where championship standards apply to every participant.
Austin provides year-round outdoor conditions, a dynamic sports ecosystem, and a purpose-focused environment where your competitive background serves as the cornerstone for developing future leaders.
Coach with intention. Drive transformation through engagement. Apply today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting focused 1:1 motivational sessions in which you convert your competitive discipline into concrete, practical coaching techniques
- Directing dynamic morning assemblies that activate the full student community
- Leading interactive life skills workshops where you guide students through applied exercises in resilience, leadership, and goal achievement
- Overseeing structured afternoon athletic training sessions that embody championship principles: crafting drills, demanding effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through athletic practice (not merely monitoring activity)
- Actively connecting with each student across the day: moving through spaces during independent study periods, stepping in to inspire when a student encounters difficulty, and generating instructional moments that spark breakthrough performance
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Observing from the perimeter as a passive presence: this position is not symbolic. You’re actively involved, leading sessions, and making real-time interventions.
- Delivering conventional academic instruction or adhering to a set curriculum: students engage with content through adaptive digital platforms. Your function is life coaching, motivation, and teaching transferable skills through athletics and personal mentorship.
Basic Requirements
- Former elite competitors who reached the highest echelons of their sport—Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Demonstrated experience leveraging athletics to guide and coach life skills
- Verified motivational leadership in competitive, educational, or professional contexts
- Authorization to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship
- Ready to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX
