Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Youth Sports Coach to be a partner in our Playball Kids franchise and assist in expansion of our multi sports programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching, sales and marketing experience, willingness to grow a business and working with Preschool and Elementary school students . We are looking for coaches with the ability to educate and motivate young athletes. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging environment for skill development, teamwork, and personal growth. Coach will start as an hourly team member with potential in earning percentage of revenue from programs as the business grows in their area.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individual students and their education.
- Conduct regular lesson sessions, focusing on skill development, strategy, teamwork and education.
- Educate students on sports techniques motor skills improvement, social skills, and emotional skills using sports programs, educational lessons, team building exercises and much more.
- Monitor and assess students performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a safe training environment; lifeguard certification is a plus for aquatic activities.
- Organize and oversee competitions, events, and team-building activities.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on educating young athletes and students.
- Strong knowledge of various sports.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with athletes of all ages.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all skill levels.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Lifeguard certification is beneficial for roles involving aquatic sports or activities.
- Experience in childcare or working with youth is highly desirable.
