Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Sports Coach to inspire and develop young athletes through engaging sports programs. In this role, you will lead youth participants in a variety of sports activities, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical development. Responsibilities
- Plan and organize age-appropriate sports activities, including soccer, tball, flag football, volleyball and basketball.
- Lead coaching sessions that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while ensuring safety at all times.
- Manage behavior and motivate children to participate actively and positively in all activities.
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing rules, supervising participants closely, and responding promptly to any safety concerns or incidents.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff to support each child’s growth and address individual needs.
- Conduct basic health and safety checks related to sports equipment and facilities, including gym or health club areas.
- Foster a fun, inclusive atmosphere that encourages children to develop a love for sports and physical activity.
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education to children or youth.
- Strong background in childcare or working with students in educational or recreational settings.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a positive environment.
- Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members.
