Youth Soccer Program Director (Part-Time) Jobs in Greenville at Pitt-Greenville Soccer Association
Pitt Greenville Soccer Association (PGSA) is seeking a dedicated and experienced coaching leader to oversee and develop the club’s Academy Program, which serves our youngest players and introduces them to travel soccer. This is a part-time position, typically working 15-20 hours per week with our U-8 to U-10 teams.
This role is critical in shaping the foundation of the club by implementing a structured player development pathway in the 7v7 format. The Academy Director will be responsible for curriculum development, coach education, player recruitment, and overall program growth while ensuring alignment with PGSA’s long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Academy Program Development & Oversight
- Design and implement an age-appropriate curriculum focused on technical, cognitive and physical development.
- Oversee the player and team selection process, ensuring proper placement for development and competition.
- Monitor NCYSA rules and regulations regarding Academy programs to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate game schedules, practice schedules, tournaments, and showcases for all Academy teams.
Coaching Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor Academy coaches, helping them develop their coaching philosophy and methodologies.
- Provide player and coach evaluations, offering constructive feedback to foster growth.
Player Recruitment & Growth
- Organize and lead clinics and outreach events to identify and recruit new talent for the Academy program.
- Develop strategies to increase Academy enrollment while maintaining quality development.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Academy parents, providing clear communication via PlayMetrics.
- Address parent concerns, player progress, and overall program updates in a professional manner.
- Represent the Academy at PGSA board meetings and collaborate with club leadership on program initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in the transition of Academy players into other PGSA programs as they progress beyond U10.
Qualifications:
- USSF D License (or higher) preferred, or equivalent coaching certification.
- Proven experience in youth player development and coaching within youth soccer.
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, consisting primarily of evenings and Saturdays.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with an ability to manage multiple teams and schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with players, coaches, and parents.
- Passion for developing young players and fostering a positive soccer culture.
