Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Soccer Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a genuine enthusiasm for educating young athletes. This role involves working closely with students to develop their soccer skills, promote teamwork, and foster a love for the game. The Soccer Coach will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment that encourages personal growth and athletic development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct soccer training sessions that cater to various skill levels.
- Teach fundamental soccer techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among players.
- Evaluate players’ performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Organize and oversee practice sessions, drills, and scrimmages.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members regarding player progress.
- Ensure a safe training environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Encourage participation in games and tournaments to enhance competitive experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in sports coaching is essential; experience specifically in soccer is preferred.
- Background in childcare or experience working with students is highly desirable.
- Experience teaching physical education or working in a gym setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate young athletes are crucial for success in this role.
Schedule & Availability
- Training sessions are typically held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Candidates should have flexibility to accommodate occasional schedule adjustments as needed.
- Potential availability on Saturdays during the season.
