About the Role
Americans Soccer Club of NJ is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable Youth Soccer Coach to lead and assist fun, engaging after-school soccer sessions for young players this fall. If you’re passionate about soccer and enjoy helping children build confidence, teamwork, and technical skills, we’d love to hear from you.
This is an excellent opportunity for coaches, former players, teachers, college students, and anyone who enjoys working with youth in a positive, energetic environment.
Schedule
- Tuesdays, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Fall season
- In-person at Lions Park, Upper Saddle River, NJ
Responsibilities
- Lead organized, age-appropriate soccer practices and activities.
- Teach fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, and teamwork.
- Create a fun, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage sportsmanship, confidence, and respect among all players.
- Ensure a safe practice environment by following club safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with parents and club staff.
- Assist with field setup, equipment organization, and cleanup.
Qualifications
- Previous soccer coaching, playing, teaching, or youth sports experience preferred.
- Enjoy working with children of different ages and skill levels.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to manage groups of children in an active outdoor environment.
