Youth Soccer Coach Duties:
Responsibilities
- The staff coach is responsible for day to day oversight and management of the team(s) assigned, including:
- Conducting all team practices in a safe and well organized environment
- Handling all team management
- Responsible for all seasonal scheduling including but not limited to games, tournaments, make up sessions and friendlies
- Promote and adhere to the club’s communication protocol
- Promote all clubs’ special events – and support the clubs sponsors/partners by agreeing to disseminate the information forwarded by the Coaching Directors
- Conduct seasonal player evaluations conducted within the guidelines provided by the Technical Director
- Report and consult with the Technical Director on any team issues/problems
- Communicate on a weekly basis with the Program Coaching Director and provide updates on the team
- Communication with the Team Parents
- This must be an active part of the team dynamics throughout the year on top of the standard team meetings
- Assisting and evaluating at club tryouts as assigned by the Program’s Director
- Seeking further education with the support of the club
- Follow all club player development modules and philosophy
- All other policies and procedures assigned to coaching staff by program directors
Requirements:
– USSF “D” license or equivalent
– Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a youth soccer organization
– Excellent communicator with conflict resolution skills
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Ability to motivate and lead, coaches, players and colleagues
– Possess a high level of integrity and motivation to get “the job done”
– Be a team player
– Excellent computer (Microsoft word, excel, power point, cloud based knowledge etc) and administrative skills
