San Diego Wave Camps is hiring a Site Director for our La Jolla camp (July 27–31, 2026), and additional weeks.
This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for candidates looking to grow experience in sports management, youth development, or program leadership.
You will oversee all aspects of camp operations, lead a team of coaches, and ensure a professional, safe, and engaging environment for campers.
This role offers valuable experience for those pursuing careers in education, athletics, or leadership development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and evaluate a team of soccer coaches and camp staff
- Manage daily logistics including check-in/check-out, scheduling, and transitions
- Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and staff
- Uphold and represent the Wave Camps FC brand with professionalism and integrity
What We Are Looking For From You
- Background in soccer coaching or playing (high school level or higher preferred)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities
- High energy, professionalism, and accountability
- Passion for youth development through sports
Commitment
- 6-week summer commitment: June 22 – July 31, 2026
- Must pass a comprehensive background screening
- Ability to travel to camp locations with reliable transportation
- Comfortable driving a rented camp van if needed
Compensation
- $1,400 – $1,600 per week, based on experience
