The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) introduces children to sports and promotes lifelong physical activity through affordable, year-round programming. Originating as a learn-to-ski program for elementary students in the Park City School District, YSA has expanded to offer over 50 sports and healthy lifestyle activities, including skiing, ice skating, mountain biking, and healthy cooking, to students throughout Summit and Wasatch Counties. YSA collaborates with 66 nonprofits, businesses, granting organizations, and numerous volunteers to provide safe, supervised after-school programs that include transportation, gear, scholarships, and instruction. These efforts ensure accessibility for all children, including those from low-income families, while offering support for working parents. Volunteers contribute extensively to ensure smooth program operations.
Role Descriptions
Wasatch Program Manager: Programs Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing YSA afterschool programs within Wasatch School District including program planning, operations, logistics, and execution. The role works closely with schools, community partners, families, and volunteers to ensure successful program delivery and supervises a small team of part-time program coordinators.
Park City Programs Manager
The Park City Programs Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing YSA after-school programs within Park City boundaries including program planning, operations, logistics, and execution. The role works closely with schools, community partners, families, and volunteers to ensure successful program delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience in program coordination, event planning, or logistical management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Excel, database management, and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, schools, and community partners
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support others
- Familiarity with local school districts and community organizations preferred
