Overview
Youth Program Coordinator, Alpha – $100,000/year USD Jobs in Brownsville, TX at Crossover
- Campus-based position at Alpha School in Brownsville, TX
- $100,000 annual W2 compensation, distributed weekly. Health benefits begin immediately.
- Relocation assistance provided in exchange for a one-school-year campus assignment
You’ve dedicated years to coaching children — not instructing them. You understand the distinction: coaches build connections, issue challenges, and hold students accountable to their potential. Instructors transmit information. You’ve never functioned as an information transmission system.
Alpha operates the most nontraditional educational model you’re likely to encounter. Students don’t occupy rows while listening to lectures. They progress through AI-driven learning platforms independently. AI manages the academic instruction. Your responsibility is facilitating life skills workshops that maintain the attention of K-8 students, conducting motivation sessions that drive them toward weekly learning targets, and maintaining standards when students attempt to disengage. The academic progression happens automatically. You manage the relational component.
This position offers advancement worth pursuing, and that advancement means greater student influence. Educators who reliably achieve performance benchmarks (100% cohort completion of weekly app objectives, satisfaction ratings above 90%) advance to Lead Guide positions where they train other educators in these methods. Students remain the central focus.
The campus location is Brownsville, adjacent to SpaceX’s Starbase facility. If your motivation for career transition centers on mission — transforming how children perceive their capabilities — rather than credentials, submit your application.
What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students addressing topics including public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify authentic skill acquisition, not passive attendance
- Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, individual interests, and Coachbot analytics to achieve 100% cohort completion of weekly app progression targets
- Employing narrative techniques, incentive structures (school currency systems, leaderboards), and individual rapport to overcome student reluctance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction metrics to maintain a 90%+ benchmark on student feedback surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Presenting at a whiteboard in lecture format. Students progress academically via self-directed AI-powered platforms, not through direct instruction from you.
- Supervising passive screen time. Students working on computers describes the environment; active facilitation defines the role.
- Adjusting standards downward when students resist. Test2Pass expectations remain consistent regardless of individual student circumstances.
- Creating lesson materials from the ground up. Workshop frameworks and session guides are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the engagement and narrative skill that ensures genuine student comprehension.
- Handling parent communication, admissions processes, or facility management. Those functions belong to separate positions.
