Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Youth Development Professional to inspire and support young minds through engaging activities and educational programs. This role qualifies up to $6,500 in tuition reimbursement. Schooling can be in the trades, certifications, two and four year degrees within certain fields and industries. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth engagement.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement dynamic activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and teamwork.
- Manage classroom or activity spaces effectively, ensuring safety and order through strong behavior management techniques.
- Provide guidance and support tailored to the individual needs of children.
- Facilitate sports coaching, arts projects like theater or music, and recreational activities that encourage physical activity and creative expression.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
- Support children’s emotional and behavioral growth through positive reinforcement.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings such as daycare, camp counseling, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive education settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with enthusiasm while maintaining patience and professionalism.
