Position: Year Round Sports Scorekeeper (Part Time)

Neighborhood recreation programs are offered at ten locations throughout the city. Alameda’s Sports and Fitness Program provides year-round opportunities for residents of all ages to engage in active, healthy lifestyles through structured classes, leagues, and drop-in activities.

Examples Of Duties
Scorekeepers play an essential role in maintaining accurate records for Alameda’s Adult Softball & Sports programs using score books and score clocks.

– Responsibility with Children & Participants Be a role model at all times – engaged, attentive, and encouraging. Help support sports classes, camps, and special events as assigned.
– Presentation & Professionalism Wear the required uniform and maintain a neat appearance. Represent ARPD in a professional and friendly manner to the public.
– Commitment to Growth Take part in staff development sessions, workshops, and in-service training. Strive to improve leadership, coaching, and customer service skills.
ALL POSITIONS require current certification in American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR and a recent T.B. Test prior to the beginning of the program or agree to get both as a condition of being hired. Must be 16 years or older. Volunteer or Recreation experience desirable.
