Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented X-ray Technician to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will have a background in radiologic technology, able to perform Xrays and use the Fluoroscopic Machines. This role requires a professional with comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, capable of performing diagnostic evaluations in a fast-paced Orthopedic setting. The X-ray Technician will play a vital role in supporting accurate diagnosis and patient care through precise imaging procedures. With the ability to go to all 3 of our locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, and Flouro exams with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate imaging equipment following aseptic techniques and safety protocols to prevent contamination or infection.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care during imaging procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to radiation exposure and medical imaging practices.

Requirements

  • ART Certification and VA licensure as an X-ray Technician;
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
  • Experience with Xray and Flouro Machines, and PAC systems.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and radiation safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and coordinate with healthcare professionals.   • Must be able to work at our Chesapeake, Suffolk and Harbour View Locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 – $31.00 per hour
