Head Women’s Soccer Coach
Purpose:
Responsible for initiating various aspects of the Women’s Soccer program, such as recruiting, scheduling opponents, and training squad members. The Head Coach of Women’s Soccer is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Louisiana Christian University, the Red River Athletic Conference, and NAIA. This is a full-time, twelve-month position. Louisiana Christian University is a member of the NAIA.
Essential functions:
- Direct, oversee, and manage the intercollegiate soccer program, recruits, and recommends hires for the coaching and support staff.
- Recruit students in accordance with Louisiana Christian University, NAIA, and the Red River Athletic Conference policies and guidelines.
- Ensure that Women’s Soccer is in compliance with all LCU, NAIA, and Red River Athletic Conference guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Provides all necessary reports and statistics periodically.
- Visit area and regional high schools and community colleges to recruit student athletes.
- Direct on-field and classroom instructions and coaching in soccer techniques and strategy on the soccer program; evaluates individual performance and provides leadership and instruction in areas of deficiency.
- Assist the Head Men’s Coach in setting up soccer field for all practices and games.
- Counsel teams members in academic, disciplinary and personal matters; consults with administrators and faculty for resolutions of problems.
- Schedule the games for the women’s soccer team; makes lodging, meal and transportation arrangements, orders equipment and uniforms, maintains the inventory, cleaning and maintenance of equipment within the budget provided by the University.
- Represent Louisiana Christian University at professional, civic, charity and alumni events.
- Direct the development of reports and analysis setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Direct the personnel activities in the men’s soccer program including disciplining, training, merit recommendations, promotions and transfers.
- Monitor academic progress of student athletes, counsels students and assists them in solving problems.
- Secures funding from diverse sources, effectively engaging alumni, donors, and sponsors to support athletic programs.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform other related duties as required. (i.e. Event Management)

Possesses strong fundraising skills, effectively engaging alumni, donors, and sponsors to support athletic programs and team initiatives.
