About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced WHS & Risk Officer to take end‑to‑end ownership of workplace health & safety and operational risk across our venues.
This role sits within Operations and is hands‑on by nature. While WHS frameworks exist, your role is to lift accountability, operationalise policy, and drive practical, sustainable improvement. We’re looking for someone to hit the ground running, and confident partnering with Operations in a large, fast‑moving hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain WHS and operational risk frameworks across all venues
- Investigate and follow up staff and patron incidents
- Embed WHS policies into day‑to‑day operations
- Maintain risk registers and reporting systems
- Partner closely with Operations and P&C to lift accountability
- Drive continuous improvement across WHS systems and processes
About You
You are practical, proactive and comfortable influencing without excessive bureaucracy. You understand that good safety outcomes come from strong relationships and operational reality — not just policies.
You bring:
- Mid‑senior experience in WHS, risk or operational environments
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management
- Experience working in complex, operational or hospitality settings
- A flexible, problem‑solving mindset
- Confidence to lead change and take ownership
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated WHS and/or operational risk experience
- Incident investigation and follow‑up experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to travel between venues
- RSA & RCG (or willingness to obtain)
