About The Role
As a Video Editor at Backroads, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our travel stories to life through compelling visual content. Your primary responsibility will be transforming raw footage—captured by guests, trip leaders, and photographers around the world—into polished, engaging videos that inspire and connect with our audience. This hands-on editing position focuses on creating high-quality short- and mid-form videos optimized for social media platforms, websites, YouTube, and paid advertising channels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and content creation, to ensure that each video aligns with Backroads’ brand voice and visual style. The role does not involve fieldwork or traveling to shoot footage; instead, all work centers on post-production, editing, and asset management.
In this role, you will be at the intersection of storytelling, social media engagement, and performance marketing. Your success will be measured by your ability to produce consistent, compelling content at scale, efficiently managing large volumes of footage, and maintaining an organized video library. Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors will be essential to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality assets that support marketing objectives and brand initiatives.
