We cover player props, moneylines, spreads, totals, trends, and sharp money tools across NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, and college sports. We are an education-first research platform, never a picks service, and that positioning has earned us the 2025 FSGA Sports Betting Business of the Year award, making us the first company outside FanDuel and DraftKings to receive it.
We bootstrapped to seven figures in ARR from a founder-built community of over 200,000 sports bettors before ever spending a dollar on paid acquisition. Now, with strong unit economics and a fresh seed round behind us, we are hiring our first VP of Growth to own the next chapter.
The Role
You will be the senior growth leader at PlayerProps.ai, reporting directly to the Founder and CEO. This is a builder role, not a maintainer role. You will inherit working paid acquisition channels managed through external partners, and you will build our organic and ambassador engines from the ground up.
Your mandate covers three pillars:
1. Own Our Paid Acquisition Partnerships
- Serve as the day-to-day owner of our relationships with our external paid media agency and our user acquisition financing partners
- Set targets, review performance, and hold partners accountable to CAC, payback, and ROAS goals
- Coordinate creative, tracking, and conversion optimization across Meta, Google Ads, and Apple Search Ads
- Plan and execute channel strategy around NFL seasonality, our biggest growth window of the year
2. Build a Brand Ambassador Army From Zero
- Design, launch, and scale a brand ambassador program from nothing: structure, incentives, recruitment, onboarding, and management
- Recruit creators, community leaders, and passionate members who can authentically represent an education-first betting research brand
- Build the tracking and attribution infrastructure to measure ambassador-driven growth
- Turn our most engaged subscribers into our loudest advocates
3. Drive Organic Growth Across Every Channel
- Own organic growth strategy across SEO, YouTube, social, community, email, and app store presence
- Partner with our founder on content strategy, including our daily YouTube show and podcast properties
- Grow our in-app community into a retention and referral engine
- Identify and test new organic channels before competitors do
What Success Looks Like
- Paid acquisition partnerships hitting agreed CAC and payback targets through NFL season
- A live, growing ambassador program producing measurable, attributable signups
- Organic channels contributing a rising share of new subscribers month over month
- A growth playbook documented well enough that we can hire underneath you
Who You Are
- 6+ years in growth, performance marketing, or user acquisition, with at least 2 years leading growth at a consumer subscription or mobile app company
- Experience managing external agencies and vendor relationships with real accountability, not just check-ins
- You have built a community, ambassador, affiliate, or creator program from scratch and can walk us through the numbers
- Deep fluency in CAC, LTV, payback period, ROAS, cohort retention, and subscription funnel metrics
- Strong organic instincts: you understand SEO, social, YouTube, and community-led growth, and you know which levers matter
- Comfortable in a fast-moving early-stage environment where you write the playbook instead of following one
- Sports betting, fantasy sports, or sports media experience strongly preferred
- Bonus: experience navigating growth in a regulated or compliance-sensitive category
