Overview
The Sams Clinic is an Orthopedic and Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation facility. We are looking for experienced, motivated individuals dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our patients and team.
Join our specialized team and work directly with Board Certified surgeons, Anesthesiologist, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist, and our all-star staff. No overnights, weekends or emergency coverage. Full-Time 40 hours, 3/10-hr. shifts Tuesday-Thursday. 2/5-hr shifts Monday and Friday. Our spacious facility includes two large surgical suites, digital radiography, a CT scanner, and in-door/out-door break areas.
This is a hybrid role with time split between the front desk and the treatment room. Those with veterinary experience and interest in either department are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities and experience include but are not limited to:
- Assist doctors and staff with patients: surgery, exams, treatments, and radiographs
- Client communication
- Care of patients pre/peri/post-surgical and general treatments
- Safe animal handling and restraint
- Ability to calculate drug doses
- Ability to assess pain and perform post operative pain scoring
- Perform procedural checks and routine cleaning of equipment and report malfunctions and inaccuracies
- Accurate recordkeeping (EZVET), self-motivation, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Answer muti-line phones
- Schedule appointments/procedures
- Check in/check out clients
- Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted and be able to stand, sit, and kneel for potentially long periods.
- Consistent willingness to learn, organized, and punctual
Compensation and Benefits:
- Wage dependent on experience and educational background
