Job Background

The company is preparing to launch a large-scale, all-ages indoor entertainment and activity centre in Melbourne, with an anticipated opening around September. Designed for children, families and adult visitors, the venue will offer a wide range of interactive play, sports, and adventure experiences in a safe, engaging, and family-friendly environment.

The centre will feature seven major activity zones, including a toddler play area, inflatable castle zone, trampoline and obstacle course area, football and basketball courts, climbing area, go-karting zone, and adventure-based activity zone. In addition, the venue will include dedicated party rooms to host birthday parties, group events, and private celebrations.

As the business prepares for its grand opening, a professional and customer-focused team is needed to support daily operations, guest experience, safety management, event coordination, and long-term business growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day venue operations during assigned shifts, ensuring a safe, organised, and positive guest experience.
  • Lead and coordinate frontline venue staff, including task allocation, area rotation, break arrangements, and on-shift performance support.
  • Monitor safety, order, cleanliness, and guest behaviour across key activity zones, including toddler play, inflatable play, trampolines, sports courts, climbing, adventure activities, and go-karting.
  • Respond to customer enquiries, minor complaints, safety concerns, and on-site incidents in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist the Venue Manager and Assistant Manager with staff training, opening and closing procedures, and routine equipment safety checks.
  • Support the smooth execution of Party Room bookings, including birthday parties, group activities, and private events.
  • Record and report safety incidents, customer feedback, staff performance observations, and operational issues during each shift.
  • Provide additional support during peak periods, including crowd control, queue management, and cross-area operational assistance.

Job Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in a play centre, trampoline park, family entertainment centre, sports venue, hospitality, retail, or other high-volume customer service environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills, with the ability to confidently assist families, children, team members, and customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Native English speakers are preferred.
  • Experience working in children’s activity venues, family entertainment environments, or high-traffic service settings will be highly regarded.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, leadership ability, and confidence in supervising young casual or part-time team members.
  • Ability to remain calm, practical, and solution-focused when handling customer issues, operational pressure, or unexpected incidents.
  • Able to work shifts that may include weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods.
  • A valid Working with Children Check is preferred; candidates who do not currently hold one may apply for it after receiving an offer.
  • First Aid and CPR certification will be highly regarded.
