Position: Vancouver Judo Instructor Needed Now
Kensington Judo Society seeks a dedicated Judo Instructor to lead classes in Vancouver. Engage and train students utilizing your skills in martial arts and fitness instruction.
This permanent full-time role involves a blend of instruction, event coordination, and staff supervision. Candidates should possess at least three years of experience or relevant qualifications in recreation. As a Judo Instructor, your responsibilities include planning activities and ensuring participants’ safety while following health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct and demonstrate athletic techniques in Judo
• Supervise and train a team of fitness staff
• Assist with managing recreational and fitness events
• Ensure the safe use of equipment and facilities
• Conduct emergency first aid and support those in need
Requirements:
• Completion of secondary education required
• 3 years of Judo experience or recreation degree
• Must have National Coaching Certification and OFA Level 1
• Capacity to lead and supervise four or more staff members
• Excellent communication and organization skills needed
